I hope they grow up just like you!

I had one of those mom moments.  You know the ones where your child does you did and you say something your mom said. Afterward you just either laugh or are stunned that happened.  Mine was a laugh this morning.

For the background, growing up I always stored my shoes under my bed and sometimes the front hall.  I have found this is a heredity trait because my youngest son does this all the time.  He's dislikes wearing shoes a little more than I do because as soon as he gets inside, the shoes come off wherever he stands still for more than 30 seconds.  So more often then not, they're in the front hall, under a table or in the basement.  If they make it to his room, they're right in the doorway.  See mom, at least mine made it under the bed. :)

This morning, Jacob is trying to find his high tops to no avail.  He's gone to every room a few times and is having no luck.  He doesn't want to wear the shoes that are in the front hallway.  As I see him running around, a memory pops into my mind of when my mom picked up my shoes after me and I'm running around trying to find my shoes in all my favorite shoe haunts.  So, I asked Jacob if he checked his closet.  Sure enough, he's down in a flash trying to be a smart alec saying "Mom, I told you they were in the closet, why didn't you listen."

So Mom, he grew up just like me. :)
